APIM

The APIM is the brain behind your Ford's SYNC system — it controls everything from your touchscreen, navigation, Bluetooth, voice commands, and even Apple CarPlay or Android Auto (if equipped). Think of it as the control center for your infotainment system.
If your screen is freezing, Bluetooth won’t connect, navigation is glitchy, or SYNC won’t boot up — the APIM is usually the culprit.

Audio Control Module

ACM

The ACM powers all audio output in your vehicle — it controls your radio, SiriusXM, media playback, and sound balance across all speakers. If your radio won’t turn on, volume cuts in and out, or you’ve lost audio entirely, the ACM may need replacing.
