Hi Fortino— As mentioned in the description, The screen and module are both Refurbished OEM Genuine Ford parts, Not knock off Chinese counterfeit pieces. All other Components in the kit are brand new. This is how we’re able to offer the kit at a competitive price. There are absolutely no scratches on the screen so once installed it functions and looks like a brand new product.

Our complete SYNC 3 factory upgrade kit contains OEM Ford parts, completely programmed specific to your vehicle with everything needed to complete the upgrade.
This upgrade revamps your user experience while maintaining your factory features (ex. Backup cam, steering wheel controls, heated/cooled seats etc) while adding Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. Each unit is custom programmed to your VIN so that it operates as if installed from the factory with Sync 3! 1. OEM Refurbished Sync 3 APIM upgraded to latest 3.4 software.
2. OEM Refurbished Sync 3 Screen - You will have to remove the existing brackets from your MyFordTouch system and attach them to this unit for install.
3. OEM Refurbished Connecting cable and screws between APIM and screen
4. OEM New SYNC 3 CARPLAY USB hub*
5. High quality New FAKRA C GPS antenna
6. New Adapter Harness to connect the wiring from the current hub to the new hub**
7. OEM New USB hub finish trim ring**
*Certain models may use a different hub than pictured with either one or two USB ports but will be an OEM part specific to your vehicle.
**Certain models will not require this component, so it will be omitted from your kit.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If your Sync 2 equipped vehicle had integrated navigation and you purchase a kit without navigation, you will lose integrated maps. Similarly if your Sync 2 equipped vehicle did not have navigation and you wish to add navigation, purchasing a Sync 3 upgrade WITH NAVIGATION will allow you to have integrated OEM navigation like your vehicle came from the factory with navigation.

No. Electronic modules (APIMs) are VIN-programmed to your specific vehicle before they ship, so they install plug-and-play with no trip to the dealer. Screens and other hardware components don't require separate programming.
